Our Story
Founder and CEO Rob Van Diest started his first company in 2001, a commercial electrical contractor specializing energy-efficient technology in the Commercial Lighting market space. The benefits of energy-efficient technology were obvious to customers – solve for a business need while lowering operating costs – but the capital expenditures prevented too many of them from taking the leap. So Rob had a BIG idea: offer the rebates upfront. Immediately sales soared as customers and stakeholders realized value from every angle.
Recognizing the growing demand for energy-efficient horticultural technology, Van Diest took his business model into the Commercial Agriculture space and formed Grow Rebates in 2016. For eight years, Grow Rebates focused on providing customers high quality, energy-efficient solutions at reduced upfront costs.
In 2024, Grow Rebates went BIG: that’s right, we rebranded the company as Big Incentive Group. Why go BIG, you ask? We say: why not go BIG? The market demand for energy-efficiency is greater than ever and is growing exponentially. Key stakeholders – from individuals to global governments – have BIG goals.
